Best Time to Visit Leh Ladakh
Leh & Ladakh is pure and untouched possession of India. It reflects the beauty of nature with less pollution and amazing scenic views. The best time to visit LehLadakh is summer as the maximum temperature rises to 30°Celsius. It is not recommended to visit Ladakh during winters as heavy snowfall and formation of thick ice sheets makes the roads inaccessible.
Where & When to Visit to Ladakh
Ladakh in Summer (April -July)
It is the most appropriate time to visit Leh & Ladakh. This is the time when the roads remain clear for the tourists to move around. Even the sky being clear offers a dramatic view for the visitors. Trekking, riding a bike, moving around on a jeep and wandering are the activities that you can do. Thiksey Monastery, Shanti Stupa, Pangong Tso Lake, Namgyal Tsemo Gompa, Nubra Valley are among the fascinating spots of Ladakh. During summer, the temperature here varies from 15° Celsius to 30°Celsius approximately.
Ladakh in Monsoon (July - September)
Monsoon is irregular in Ladakh and depends on region. The approximate temperature during monsoon is between 3°Celsius to 17°Celsius. Monsoon is also considered as a good time to visit Ladakh.
Ladakh in Winter (October – March)
Winter is not an appropriate time to visit Ladakh. During this period, the region receives snowfall and remains covered with snow. The roads remain blocked and vehicles cannot access through the roads. Temperature during this season ranges between 0 Celsius and 15 °Celsius.
